Thanks to Mr. Schweppe we had the possibility to join one lesson in an advanced German learning class. We enjoyed it very much to talk with young Indians about India and Germany.

Walter Schweppe is head of the language department & depute director at the Max Mueller Bhavan in Delhi (Goethe Institut). Mr. Schweppe gave us the opportunity to join one of the courses and talk with the students.

At 5 o'clock in the morning we have met her during Kiran's "Star-show". She was there with about ten students of the Lakshmi Ashram.

The hill station Kausani would be much poorer without Kiran. He is running there a small restaurant and provides tourist not only with food and a great view of the impressive himalaya range but also with information about his personal hobby, the stars.

"I would advice everyone to come to Kausani and feel the beauty of this place."


Ulrike Ulrike
A german in Kausani. Ulrike lives for one year in the Lakshmi Ashram. She helps to educate girls and young women of the surrounding mountain area.

"Since I am 11 years old I have had one big wish:
I wanted to go to India. Now I am here."

It was the Anasakti Ashram in Kausani, India, where we have met Partha and his wife Barnali. They have spent their holidays in the mountains for recovering from the busy area of Kolkata.

Partha: You should feel that you are one. There is no difference between nature, human beings and everything else.
Barnali: I wish that there is no difference between people and between different countries.
Prasad and Kunal, India Prasad and Kunal
We have met Prasad and Kunal in the Netcafe in Aurangabad, India. The next day we have enjoyed together a visit to the Ellora Caves and the dinner.

We have met Saji at the Tourist Office in Kovalam, South India. We just wanted some practical informations but finally talked for hours about our countries and the cultural differences. Thank you Saji.
